Ipod Nano 2gb

Postby bsxiong » Sun May 07, 2006 12:23 am

hi all

I'm going to get this one today, but just have a couple of question before i buy it.

I know that ipod will need to install itunes to work, but Will Ipod nano let you use it like a flash drive? Can you take you ipod to other pc and transfer documents in and out without the need of installing softwares?

Thanks

Technical Specifications: iPod nano
Capacity
1GB, 2GB or 4GB flash drive(1)
Holds 240 to 1,000 songs in 128-Kbps AAC format(2)
Holds 15,000 to 25,000 iPod nano-viewable photos(2)
Stores data via USB flash drive

According to that, you should be able to transfer files pretty easy however its not specificly saying that software isnt needed. Personally i wouldnt think so, generally a flash drive works from a mass storage device driver thats implemented into XP already.

Yea you can use your ipod like that. But i think the drivers will need to be installed.

Only things thats really strange is i have a 40gig ipod, and it works fine on my pc, i put it in my gf's pc and she has a nano, and it wont detect mine :S go figure!
