Logitech Mouseman Wheel USB

I have a Logitech MouseMan USB Wheel Mouse. I would like the thumb button to use the "Back" button in the browsers, and I would like the wheel to scroll the pages. Problem is, that they don't in the Linux Distro I am using, and I was wondering if anyone here knows how to do it?
