Firefox/os issue

Postby AlphaTI » Tue Feb 09, 2010 1:49 am

I was on xp home for a while then i started getting issues with internet explorer, it kept spamming my task manager with 20+ ie running, then firefox stopped connecting to megaupload, after a lot of gaming buddies saying site works fine, I reformatted and installed vista, however megaupload still wont connect, fw isnt blocking it...any ideas?

Yes every other site works fine, this has happened first on xp not vista...

However I am now having an explorer issue, whenever I rightclick an executable be it on desktop or in its folder the explorer.exe stops working...

dxdiag wont attach =/

hasehase,

There is a Add-on for Firefox that will backup your Firefox profile.

Another thing you might want to check for is malware. I've had 4 systems where they complain that IExplorer doesn't work right anymore but Firefox comes up OK. Two were infected with porn dialers and naturally they went no-where without the phone hooked up, Running Malware Bytes cleaned up three of them. The other one I had to re image was my sons. He had concluded that Firefox was a better browser since it didn't crash all of the time like IExplorer. The gamesite he was downloading from got infected with a real goodie, that it passed on to everyone visiting the site.
