Internet Explorer works, but not much else.

Is your PC infected? Is it running slow? Just can't figure out what's making it sluggish? Here is the place to get some help.

Internet Explorer works, but not much else.

I'm on a laptop, and my wireless card (internal) can connect to my home's wifi easily and with full strength. It says I have internet access, and I do for internet explorer. However google chrome cannot use the internet at all, and when attempting to uninstall it and reinstall it it gave me some errors. I fixed those, but I still can't access the internet with chrome. Additionally, most programs (spybot, and a few others) can't update. They have issues connecting to the internet or something else. I already checked, and my pc isn't connected to any LAN proxies under LAN settings, so I'm stumped. MAMB didn't find anything, and Super Anti Spyware found a few tracking cookies, but that's it. I didn't run Spybot, because it could find an info file to check for updates.

Here's my HijackThis log file.

Re: Internet Explorer works, but not much else.

Please download combofix to your desktop.

Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with ComboFix.

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.

If combofix will not start or is ended before the "Blue window" please rename combofix.exe to cbf.exe and try again.

If cbf.exe will not start or is ended, you will have to run cbf.exe from safe mode.
Reboot in to Safe mode:
Restart Windows after you see the BIOS screen and before Windows starts to load.
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears.
Use the Arrow key to ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.

Do not exit Combofix while it is running you my loose all your personal settings!
Important Note - Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running, that may cause it to stall.

When it's done running it will produce a log for you. Please post that log in your next reply.
