I was watching a news information show this morning about pc gaming. Wow I didnt know how advanced it has become. They were showing people playing and there was actually play by play announcers describing all the action.

When they showed some of the players towers it was amazing, some of them actually had water cooled systems because of the high temperatures reached on the systems. The graphics and paint jobs on some of the towers were quite attractive too.There was also talk that some of the gamers have big corporate sponsors.

The only thing that I found disturbing was there are attempts being made to make pc gaming a demonstration sport at the Bejing Olympics. I dont know but I dont consider gaming to be a sport, its more a hobby. But I guess if the olympic commitee wants to promote terrorism and killing as a sport so be it. Im sure the gamers wouldnt settle for playing Super Mario.

In any event I found the info interesting and informative.

I'm not sure that gaming meets the requirements of a sport. Then again, pool and chess are now olympic sports
