Hurricane Jeanne is breathing down on Florida.
Once again  we are just outside the projected “Eye” path, as of this posting anyway.
I have turned my house back into a fortress again  , its still daylight outside but it's pitch black inside, without the lights on again  .
We will most likely loose power for a number of days, along with my cable internet again.

All of this “preparing for the worst” has been real hard on my 2 girls, :(
this is the third time in less than six weeks that we have had to “preparing for the worst”.
It’s hard on all the family myself included, you can’t help but be stressed out.
And the local news, although keeping you well informed of the current status
tends to escalate stress by giving you the worst-case scenario and all the worst videos of past hurricanes.

We will get through this one, as we have with the others.
See you when the power is back on.

We are up and running!

Never lost power until today but only for 20 minutes, lost cable yesterday morning.
This morning I saw a cable repair truck, so I ask him if he is here to fix the cable?
No he was only assessing the damages, I offered him something cold to drink and told
him to stop by later. We were planning a big cookout for those without power in the
neighborhood and he was more than welcome.
Well he showed up a few hours later, had a couple of burgers and then he fixed the cable for the whole street. :rox:

We did have some more fallen limb damage our metal shed took a direct hit.
It is now a flattened, twisted, crumpled pile of junk.

Oh well no one was hurt and that’s what counts, the shed and it's contents can be replaced.
