The default installation state for the OSB in Office XP is Not Available.
The Office Shortcut Bar is not started automatically;
however, a shortcut to the Office Shortcut Bar is installed in the
Microsoft Office Tools folder (click Start, point to Programs, and then point to Microsoft Office Tools and select Office Shortcut Bar).
If you start the Office Shortcut Bar from the Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar,
shortcut in the Office Tools folder, you will receive the following message:
Would you like to configure the Office Shortcut Bar to start automatically whenever Windows is started?

Postby fromtheshed » Tue Oct 21, 2003 9:18 pm

Thanks for replying so fast,
I thought that that was where it was as well, but unfourtnatually I do not have that option in the Start>Programs>Tools> section.

Do you know of any other way to activate this?

Regards

It must not be installed, to install the Office Shortcut Bar click Start, Control Panel double click Add or Remove programs once the window loads all the way scroll down to until you see Microsoft Office XP click on Microsoft Office XP once, click the Change button. Now select the large Add or Remove Features button next, click the + sign next to Office Tools, find the Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar and click the small icon next to it now select “Run All form My Computer” click the Update Now button make sure you Office CD is in your CD Rom drive and that should install the Office Shortcut Bar
