creating link to excel file

My intensions are:

create a link to an excel file. When i click on it it must open excel en load the file. So it must not load internet explorer with excle in it

You can create an empty workbook on your desktop and use it to launch Microsoft Excel. To do that, right-click an empty area on the desktop, position the mouse on New -> Microsoft Excel Worksheet, type a name for the workbook, such as Time Sheet, and press Enter twice.
When you double-click the link, Excel will open,you choose the file and away you go!!
