Sorry for the delay in getting to your post. I just now though of something that might help
Your registry could be messed up.
Boot up the system and tap on the f8 key until you get a menu. pick DOS promt
Type in scanreg /restore (there is a space between the g and the /)
You'll get a blue screen with 4 restore points, there is a fifth if you arrow down.
Pick a date where the problem did not exist and highlite it and hit enter. That should bring your system back hopefully
I am suggesting this on the assumption that your virus files are up to date and you have done a current scan of the drive. If that assumption is wrong, do that first before you attempt to use a restore point! Otherwise that restore will also get infected.
