saving audios

Just wondering if you could help solve my problem I am experiencing at home. When I try to save an audio file to either my hard drive or to a cdr it saves it badly, the track when played skips & jumps alot, I thought it was the write setting on my cd rewriter so I then tried to just save from my audio cd to a directory on my hard drive and it still jumped, i've tried reducing my write speed on my cdr and it still jumps.

Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

Does this happen with all of your audio files?

The problem is probably not with your hard drive, CDRW drive, or CD themselves. If the problem is just with some of your files, it is probably because you downloaded some semi-corrupt audio files. The 'skipping' you hear is due to bad data, not bad hard disks or CDs. If you are ripping the music yourself, try not to interrupt the ripping process because that can lead to 'skipping'.
