on startup, I get the message :
Cannot renew the dynamic link library msnp32.dll
Windows cannot find the requested file

I already copied the dll file into windows/system without success. How can I go about this to repair it, or should I consider a reinstall?

I already reinstalled the network card (3c905b-tx) ethernet

Thanks Brad, you pointed me to the right page.
FYI : i did use sfc, but i had to delete and reinstall the client for microsoft networks before it worked
