Tab files are basically text, and should be in mono-spaced fonts, like courier. If they are in e.g. Arial, an "i" takes up less space than a "w" etc. and can make the lines of unequal length.
TAB files may be saved with various file extentions:
.txt will generally be displayed by the browser correctly as text, in mono-space font, but if the file has been saved as .htm or .html, then the browser interprets any HTML <FONT> tags it may find there, and may render the page incorrectly.
.tab will generally be OK in Netscape, but Internet Explorer (IE) will not know how to display the page - prompting you to either download it or pick an application to open it with.
Basically, if your browser won't display the file, downloaded it instead. Once saved, open it in a basic text editor, such as Notepad. From there you can print it if you wish.
If you often have the problem of not being able to view TAB in the browser, either try Netscape, or alter your default settings in Microsoft IE. If you wish, you can configure your browser to open .tab, by telling your computer to always open .tab files in your browser:
In Win95, right click on a .tab file in Windows Explorer, then select the "open with" option & check "always use this program to open this file".
