I have a comp with NAV 2004. It runs sometimes very slow. I suspect malware, but adaware locks up. Could someone inspect the logfile?

Try running SpyBot and Adware in Safe Mode.
Then run HiJackThis.
Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

Are you sure Ad-Aware and spybot are locking up? There is a point when both of them are scanning and seem to be sitting on the same file name. This is normal. I forget what the file name is but Ive noticed it. Depending on how much stuff you have on your system depends how long the scan will take.

Along with the files brad suggested to remove I think I saw a post here where it is suggested to get rid of Loadqm also. I searched the internet for loadqm and found it is supposed to be some what of a useless goodie from microsoft.

Are you running Adaware 6 build 6.181 and Spybot 1.2?

first of all, thanks to all who responded.
The problem is now solved.I can add a little bit to the description of the problem : when i said adaware runs for 2 1/2 hours, i stopped it then, because a normal run takes something like 5 to 10 minutes.
I did the following :
1- updated adaware to the latest reference file
2- run adaware - it took from 9 am to 4 pm, but found 42 entries, which i deleted.
3-then i tried adaware again; it still ran slow.
4- i deleted adaware and reinstalled it .....et voilĂ  it runs normally in about 6 minutes.
5- then i deleted the keys Brad mentioned.
6- and now everything is ok again, and the sun can shine again for me too.

Now you know also why i did not post back directly

thanks again to all
