Hello everyone.

I have Windows ME, i have recently had some problems with viruses. I have removed alot of the viruses and now have a virus scanner, firewall etc.
My problem is that whenever i try ot restart or shutdown the pc, i get a box with these 3 option " Wait, End Task, Cancel" .
This appears every time i try to restart or shutdown, even when nothing appears to be running on the pc. It will shutdown after i choose "End Task" a couple of times, but i want too know what is causing it.

Thanks in advance for any help or info.

I would suspect you may still have a virus, or reminants of one still around. Try scanning with Housecall Antivirus to make sure you aren't still infected. Check for a link to the housecall.

After that's done, i'd start looking into the possibility of spyware. Look again at the link provided above for information about spyware and programs to remove it. If you still have problems definately post a HiJackThis log for us to look over!

If you press CTRL+ALT+DELETE,you'll get a list of running processes...
So before going and trying to shut down try that...see what's running.
If your not sure what they are, post the list here and someone will tell you what they are.
Some processes might take a sec to shut down, depending on how fast you try to shut down.

Download....Update....Run :
