I know this has probably been answered over and over but you can never dig out an answer when you want one! On W95 we get a password dialogue on boot. It says that if we leave the password blank then it won't ask us for it again... rubbish! I've tried deleting the .pwl. No change. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this pest once and for all?

if you are running a network, it will continue to ask you for a password, unless you don't log into the network, or you force username/password info into the registry (manually or with powertoys) There is a great write-up below.
