Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following: (They may or may not be there)

iprq.exe
ntnt32.exe

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.)
(This would also include the “GoBack” Program if it is installed.)
Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

After this one: Download / Install / and Update the latest version of HJT: . Now Run it and post a copy of the Log File here.
**(Always create a Folder for HiJackThis anywhere but your Temp/Temporary Internet Folders. This is where it will save the backup files needed if there's a problem.)**

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following: (They may or may not be there)

SpyHunter.exe
d3fc.exe
iprq.exe

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.)
(This would also include the “GoBack” Program if it is installed.)
Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {D27B9CDF-A47B-B74E-EE39-1F9A9A97FEB5} - C:\WINDOWS\javaqp.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iprq.exe] C:\WINDOWS\iprq.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SpyHunter] C:\Program Files\SpyHunter\SpyHunter.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [d3fc.exe] C:\WINDOWS\d3fc.exe

Go to Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs and remove the following if they are there:

SpyHunter

Now delete these Folders or Files that are Highlighted: (You may need enable "Show all Files" and disable "Hide System Files" in Windows Explorer / Tools / Folder Options / View Tab) (You may have to boot to "Safe Mode" in order to delete some Files/Folders)

C:\WINDOWS\javaqp.dll
C:\WINDOWS\iprq.exe
C:\Program Files\SpyHunter
C:\WINDOWS\d3fc.exe

Now, empty all your TEMP Folders (WinXp has up to 4 of them) / Temporary Internet Files Folder and then empty your "Recycle Bin" and reboot.

Brad,

I would not know what to do without you !!
Please do not read this as a love declaration, but merely as a statement of how i feel. I find you unbelievable.

as they say : thanks cannot express it, but it's a good starting point

noby

By the way, you told me to uninstall spyhunter. Is that a bad program, or hindering in some way??

SpyHunter isn't a good Program. It actually gives you "False Positives" to make itself look good and scare the user into spending money to get them fixed. "Thumbs Down" on this one.
Glad you're up and running.
