*Get ready to restart your computer:
- Open the C:\FINDnFIX\Keys1\ Subfolder
-DoubleClick on the "FIX.bat" file
-You will be prompted by popup Alert to restart in 15 seconds.
-Allow it to restart the comuter!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
On restart, navigate to System32 folder:
-Locate and select these files, one at a time:
-hlp.dll
-log.dll
And use the folder's top menu>edit>
move to folder...
Select the C:\junkxxx as destination and move both
"hlp.dll" and "log.dll" to the C:\junkxxx folder
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Go back to C:\FINDnFIX\ main folder and
Run the "RESTORE.bat", file , wait for
and post the 'log1.txt' file!

When done, restart your computer and
Delete and entire 'FINDnFIX' file+folder(s)
From C:\, and be sure the C:\junkxxx folder
was deleted (as part of the cleanup process)

Then:

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following: (They may or may not be there)

javayr.exe

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.)
(This would also include the “GoBack” Program if it is installed.)
Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

Now delete these Folders or Files that are Highlighted: (You may need enable "Show all Files" and disable "Hide System Files" in Windows Explorer / Tools / Folder Options / View Tab) (You may have to boot to "Safe Mode" and rename them, in order to delete some Files/Folders)

C:\WINDOWS\javayr.exe

Now, empty all your TEMP Folders (WinXp has up to 4 of them) / Temporary Internet Files Folder and then empty your "Recycle Bin" and reboot.

hi - tried to do all that, but problems:

couldn't find any file in system32 called log.dll or hlp.dll (unless it was within a subfolder within system32 e.g. C:\WINDOWS\system32/usmt/log.dll)

i did everything else, and here is the findnfix and hijack this log.

cheers
