My browser keeps giving me these pop ups I can't remove. it resets homepage to about:blank and then pop ups that start with vv3.s13..........

Looks like you got yourself a nasty little bug.

After someone checks out your log, I would recommend downloading programs called About:buster and HSRemove. They are designed to clean the about:blank and Home Search Assistant spyware.

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.) Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

Fixing the suggestions posted fixed my issue. It now allows me to go into window update, the pop ups are gone and the internet expoler doesn't revert back to aboutblank: site.
