lass.exe error

I too am having the same issue as other people here is my log please help as I cant find the file to delete with hijack this, I looked for the file as per other instructions.

I don't see anything bad in your log or anything that would be causing that error.

Please reboot your system and see if you still get that error.

If you still get the error then please rename Hijackthis.exe to HJT.exe and then post a nre HJT log

Warning these instructions are for this thread only!
You should never attempt to use them for anything else!

Please copy this to Notepad and save it to your desktop or print it. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.
You should not have any other open windows when you are following the procedures below.

Start HijackThis and click the Config button, now click Msic Tools, next click Open Process Manager.
Now scroll dow to C:\WINDOWS\Config\lsass.exe, select it and then click the Kill Process button.
(If it's not there then it's ok just move to the next step)

Click the Back button in the lower right, now click scan and put a check next to each of the following entries:
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Config\lsass.exe
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

Now click the "Fixed checked" button and then close HijackThis

Click Start, click My computer and then right click on your C: drive and select "Properties"
Now click the "Disk cleanup" button, in the next window put a check next to Recycle Bin, Temporary Internet Files and Temporary Files click OK and then click yes in the popup window.

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' is enabled. Also make sure that Display the contents of System Folders' is checked. Remember to reset these when done.
Delete the following Files/Folders if they exist:
C:\WINDOWS\Config\lsass.exe

If you cannot delete these file(s)then:
Start HijackThis and click the Open the misc tools section now click Delete a file on reboot
Select the following file to be deleted on reboot:
C:\WINDOWS\Config\lsass.exe

Click open and click yes to reboot now

After your system restarts post a new HiJackThis log in your reply.

Your log is clean
