The only thing I see that needs fixed in your log is::

And that should not cause any weird errors in IE. (no file so nothing to do)

Lets see if we can get some more information on you error:
Go to Start > Control panel > Administrative tools > Event viewer > look in the application and system sections.

You are looking for any red or yellow icons, double click on the icon.
Look to see if it has to do with IE or any network connection problems
If so then click inside the 'Description' section then highlight the text and copy and paste it into notepad.
At the bottom of the event window check 'words' and then copy and paste that text also
Then past it all into your reply to this thread.

It just happened again! When I close Firefox and then click on the my Documents Folder I get the Error about IE! I don't use IE but I understand that it's intergraded into XP. This is what the Event Viewer found under the Application Section! (Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.3156, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000081.)

Well that doesn't make any sense at all the error message says it's Internet Explorer but the event error says it's Windows Explorer¿?

Have you added any new hardware lately like a new printer?

The first thing I would try is, uninstalling the dvd writer, reboot the system and let windows reinstall it on bootup.

Did you install any new software to go with the new dvd burner?

Ok, I'll try to uninstall and let it redetect the DVD Burner! And No I did't install any new software. It's been doing that same thing often. I'm starting to think I should check with Microsoft and see if it's them! Maybe one of there updates bit me!!!!

Only one link the same one as above for windows 2000.

You could check for a motherboard bios update, there could be an illegal I/O call being made by the new burner.

Ok! Now that you think it could be something up with the Bios could you please tell me which Bios version I should be on according to the Asus Web Site? (http://usa.asus.com/index.aspx). The current version on my computer is Award Bios 1009. I'm running Windows XP Pro. The Model of my Board is a P4S800. I try and stay away from beta versions but it's so hard to understand their web site! Thanks Gecko, I've been chasing my tail on this one!!!!

I really wasn't saying that your BIOS is out of date I was merely suggesting you could check for an update.
From what I can make out from Asus's site, BIOS Version 1009 is what you should have.
I agree about running a beta version of a BIOS update, not me, let someone else be the genie pig.

Can you please give me the exact error you get about IE.
