Computer sometimes freezes, appears to be random?

Hi there,

My PC sometimes freezes randomly, usually when I leave it for long periods of time (downloading overnight etc). When I turn the screen on in the morning programs such as Utorrent have frozen up and basically the system won't respond in any way. I end up having to do a cold restart to get control of my system back.

Anyway, thought I'd post my HijackThis file here to see if any of you guys can pick any nasties out =)

Hi R,

How much system memory do you have installed? It sounds like all your virtual memory is being used up.

Hey there. Thanks for replying. I have 4g of memory so that shouldn't be a problem..

You definitely have enough ram, but it still appears to to mem related. I'm not sure what you other hardware specs are but have you tried setting your DRAM voltage & timing manually to manufacture specs (if you have the option)? You can go slightly above the voltage recommendation but do not exceed 1 volt.

boot, I have a fairly decent gaming PC so my hardware specs are fairly up there. Could it be something to do with the power supply?

other indicents I haven't mentioned are:

-When playing some games the computer just loses power, like someone pulled the plug out.
-While youtubing, the video sometimes freezes while audio still continues to play.

And nope I haven't touched any voltage settings, would you advise it? I've never overclocked anything before since my PC already runs a bit too hot for my liking.

Your HJT log is clean

It sounds like your system could be set to turn off your network card.
Goto Control panel > System > Hardware tab > Device manager > Network adapters > double click on you network card > Power Management tab > uncheck Allow Computer to turn of this device, Ok your way back out.
