Gecko I,m starting a new post as this is a diffrent problem.

Did this
Download a new HijackThis from here and save it to your desktop but do not run it yet!.

Now right click on your desktop and point to “New” and select “Folder” name it HJT.

Put the HijackThis.exe file you downloaded into the HJT folder, open the HJT folder and run HijackThis.exe from there.
See if it will work right now for you.
Nope not working

still not leaving a log file

i deleted all previous down loads and any trace of HJT or what I could find of it before down loading as per you instruction.

Go and download MS Windows AntiSpyware.
Install it, update it, and run a full system scan when it finishes go with theirs suggestion and continue.
You will be asked to reboot the system do so to finish the removal process.

Once the system is restarted go to and do an online virus scan.
It will take quite some time to finish just let it go until it’s done reboot when asked.

Now go to Start > Control panel > Add or Remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
This will remove any registry entries to HijackThis but not remove HijackThis.
Now try and run HijackThis and see if it will save the log for you.

Ok got a log file!
