Hijack This Log... Does mysearchnow hijack still exist?

Postby piglet5 » Fri May 28, 2004 8:22 pm

Hi, I seem to be clear of the hijack, but just to be sure this is the log... I'm sure there are other bad things around in it to remove... And I've stop running messenger, it's strange that I seem to have it on according to my log...

Also, am I running a lot of processes, is that why my computer sometimes seems to run slow?

Thanks, whoever's willing to help me look into this!
:)

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following: (They may or may not be there)

pop seek.exe
pc32.exe
winupie.exe

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.)(If you're running WinMe/2000/Nt/ XP) Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSNSysRestore] C:\WINDOWS\System32\pc32.exe bg

Go to Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs and remove the following if they are there:

PLANFO (This is an abbreviation)
ARMYBU (This is an abbreviation)

Now delete these Folders or Files that are Highlighted: (You may need enable "Show all Files" and disable "Hide System Files" in Windows Explorer / Tools / Folder Options / View Tab) (You may have to boot to "Safe Mode" in order to delete some Files/Folders)

C:\WINDOWS\winupie.exe
C:\PROGRA~1\PLANFO (This is an abbreviation)
C:\PROGRA~1\ARMYBU (This is an abbreviation)

Now, empty your TEMP Folder / Temporary Internet Files Folder and then empty your "Recycle Bin" and reboot.
