Im glad you got it fixed but not too happy to hear your other problems.
I would of d/l the HJT again from within the Software Updates forum and then posted your HJT log in the HiJackThis Support forum for brad to look at. If you decide to do as I instructed, please give brad your details.
You can always use the Last Good Configuration if you think it might help.

DSO Exploit

Postby goodtaste » Thu Jul 08, 2004 1:06 am

I'll try that, thatks! Didn't know I could download it again. I hope that the DSOStop2 will really work after this. It has messed me up instead of helping me, but I believe it's because I haven't eliminated the problem and there is a conflict. So we'll see.
Thanks!

re hijack this expired

Postby badpolarbear » Thu Jul 08, 2004 1:14 pm

I think the first thing to be aware of is hijack this is a free program and does not expire. Secondly, I think it might be a good idea to download and install MailWasher.net as was suggested earlier. It to is a free program that can be used in OutLook Express

About my new troubles. . .

Postby goodtaste » Fri Jul 09, 2004 1:09 am

Hi! Well, about the HijackThis. It might be a freebie but mine counted the days since installation and refused to work after a certain date. And it had a button that read "Buy Now" and another one that said "try demonstration software" so I thought it was a "tempie" or something that would expire and you deleted it. Interesting! I downloaded it again and posted the new log for Brad to look at. I downloaded the Mailwasher but I didn't understand how to set it up and since my email is already very messed up, :( and barely works, so I decided not to spoil it worse by tampering with something I didn't know how to handle. You might have another opinion, but for me, to avoid compounding my problems is a good idea.
By the way, I knew a couple who had been rangers in a summer camp, and the summer camp had a bear as a mascot. The couple kept him. His name was Honeybear. He ate honey and berries and was a vegetarian. They said he was the sweetest bear! He would take walks with them and follow along like a puppy dog. Very smart and gentle. Never learned to hunt, so he wasn't aggressive. He was a Grizzly, though. Polars are a different story. Honeybear roamed freely when they were with him. He died while they were in Burma as a missionaries. Just chit chat.
Thanks for your advice, I DO APPRECIATE IT.
