Hi to all,

My sons pc seems to have a virus it will log in to windows fine but as soon as the desktop opens up its replaced with a filthy fullscreen porn pic and seems to lock up, cant even run task manager, i have tried starting it in safe mode and running norton 360 from there which only found a few tracking cookies (removed these) but the problem remains.

My son is into modding his steam games and i wonder if he has inadvertantly downloaded a trojan or if someone has planted a virus on his pc through a downloaded skin.

I`m out of ideas already (thought norton would have sorted this) So any help would be appreciated.

After posting this tonight i will be logging out as i have a 4 a.m. start for work tomorrow, but i`ll log back in about 4:30 p.m tomorrow, in case you need any more info.

O.K..... So no replys yet, well should i be downloading hijack this ??? or any thing else to try, and posting the results i get if any??

SORRY to seem impatient its just that my sons going mental not getting his daily c.s. fix , and my other half says its now my fault as i dont seem to be doing any thing about fixing it.

So if there are any other programs i could try please let me know

How do i install in safe mode please, any ideas??

download the executable version, not the installer. It should run from safe mode.
