Uninstalling Spyware Blaster

Hi,

I had installed Spyware Blaster a month back, while I already had Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite running. Since I want to do a clean re-install of Zone Alarm I want to remove Spyware Blaster also. I neither see Spyware Blaster listed in "Add/Remove Programs" nor is there any uinstall option. I also noticed that most of the prorams listed there do not have the "Change" and "Remove" buttons. I have administrator rights for the same account. Would you know why this is so and how I can unistall Spyware Blaster?

You should be able to use the uninstall that SpywareBlaster creates, it would be located here:
C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster\unins000.exe

The fact that it is not listed in the Ad or remover programs in the control panel makes me think there is more going on with your system.

Please download HijackThis http://downloads.malwareremoval.com/hijackthis.zip and save it to your desktop.

To extract HijackThis:

1. Right-click your file HijackThis.zip and from the menu select "Extract All".
2. The Extraction Wizard Window will appear, Click "Next".
3. Click Browse and navigate to "C:\" or the "C:\Program Files" and click "Create A New Folder" and call it "HJT" or "HijackThis" or whatever that is easy to remember and then click OK.
4. Click the Extract button.
5. Close the HijackThis.zip dialogue box.

Now double-click on hijackthis.exe and when the window opens, Press the Scan now and save a logfile button and then when it is done, copy and paste the contents of the notepad it opens as a reply to this post.

Hi Gecko,

Thanks for checking the log. Yes, I could uninstall Spyware Blaster. I installed ZoneAlarm firewall and Norton anti-virus. Norton anti-virus detected 'Blooodhound.Overpacked' in a web divx player file.
