Hi,
I have an older computer that is running on Win98.
I would like to upgrade to Win98SE. I have a W98SE full version CD.
Can I install 98SE over 98 and keep all of my currently installed programs and files?
Thanks, Angelo

If you have the full Windows 98SE cd and you want to upgrade from Windows 98, this is how you do it.
Rename your autoexec.bat, config.sys, and win.com file to something like *.old. So you would have something like autoexec.old, config.old, and win.old.
Then boot up your computer with the win98 startup disk and the win98SE cdrom.
During the installation process direct windows to be installed to C:/Windows directory.
You will be prompted for a product key to enter for 98SE
Follow the prompts and you should be good to go.
And the answer to your second question, all of your programs should be AOK
Hope this helps.
