win2k servpack 3 install with GPO

we have like 100 computers all win 2000 and one 2000 server. We want to automate the installation according to


This installation does not work when i start the computer is it is seeing the servicepack but does not install.

second problem it does this on all the clients. I want to select the clients i want it to install (not all clients need servicepack 3)

How do i do this with win2k server

I hope you have the bandwidth . I would create a new Org Unit. for this installation - Add the clients that you want to receive this update to this unit. Create a new policy, we'll call it Win2kSP3. Make sure your other policies are not blocking this new policy from being applied. Also make sure the update.msi location has proper permissions so the users can not only see, but access the msi. You might want to rollout to a group of 10 or so to test time to install and bandwidth concerns.

How do i roll out a group of ten. I want to test it on 1 machine first but is will apply to all machines. Do i need a speacial tool or something
