XP keeps rebooting

Postby DrDrakeR » Sun Dec 19, 2004 6:37 pm

Hi all.
My pc has XP Pro and it keeps rebooting before the "logon screen". As soos as it becomes light blue but before shows the logon screen, it reboots.
I tried with the last configuration, no way. I tried to start it in any kind of way that is showed when I press F8 at the start up. I can't start it up...
Does anyone have an idea how to sort this problem out?
Thanks in advance

Did you make any hardware/software changes, or did this just happen "spontaneously" also, if you could post some PC specs, that might help.

Do you have a UMAX scanner driver installed?

Do you get any kind of error, BSOD, anything?

It could be the kernel32.dll file is missing or damaged.

Your vidieo card and/or drivers could be at fault. try swapping out the video card and see if that helps.

Check all of your fans cpu & video card. Is the power supply real quiet? make sure that fan is moving.

I also had that problem on a box that I had built and it was the video card. It was totally burnt. Make sure you try out a new card.
