.ico files icon not being the icon itself!

Postby comrade » Sat Mar 12, 2005 8:31 pm

Hey,
My .ico files (icon files) were set to open with NeroPhotoSnapViewer and all of them started being represented by the picture of that program.
This was because when I installed Nero I accidentaly forgot to un-tick the boxes that would make the files to be related with Nero.
I tried reassigning them with the Windows Picture and Fax Viewerl but the picture that represents the .ico files isn't what contains them (it is not the icon image itself), but one of the WPnFV icons (the one that has a landscape with blue and green colors).

I have no idea how to make icons being represented by the icon image itself back again now. Can anyone tell me how to do it? Thanks!

PS: For some reason after I installed SP2 all my icons turned into to the unrecognizable-file-icon and I had to use TweakUI for WindowsXP to fix them. Right after that was when I noticed the icon problem but I think it might just be a coincidence.
