RUNDLL ERROR on start up....

Postby Junior_co » Fri Apr 08, 2005 10:07 am

Hello all....

I'm getting the following Error on start up

Image

I believe that it came from trying to uninstall some Granny game that was installed off of the Comcast website....

I thought I had gotten rid of everything but don't know what to do with this...

Can ya help me out?

thanks again

Start > Run > type regedit > OK in the regedit window select File > Export
I always name my registry backups by date like 4-8-05 save this backup.
Now type Ctrl + F (edit > find) type cdaEngine.dll in the find box and click OK
When it finds the registry call for cdaEngine.dll delete that key.

You might want to post a HijackThis log, WildTangent can be nasty.

Gecko, Tried searching for the cdaEngine.dll and it did not show anything. I have to assume that it didn't find it.....

I'll post a HJT log in the HJT forum.....

Anything else I should try besides HJT??

Thanks again
