JPG saving as BMP?

hi all


this has happened to my alot. sometimes when viewing images on the website, when i try to save the picture, it only gives me the option to save it as BMP though it's a JPG files.

any idea?

If it will let you 'save target as' instead of save pic as, im pretty sure it goes as jpeg. And like on google image search, if u open the pic rite up, like to the last stage, it sometimes lets you only save as bitmap, where as if you go to the page b4 last, and right click save as, that lets you do it as a jpeg.

Sorry if ive not made it totally clear.

well, its like this:

all the images in their real sizes are placed on a html page. When i do right click save as, some goes to jpeg and some goes to bitmap, though all are jpg.

i don't get it. Any ideas?
