feel like a newbie

Postby robbro » Sat Jan 07, 2006 4:17 pm

lol i feel like a newbie asking this but its bothering me and i cant figure out whats wrong. Okay i got the newest ATI Catalyst driver. normally i have no problems installing it but with the newest one i have. I got microsoft net framework (or whatever it called) that is needed for it to run etc. I normally uninstall the old drivers, use driver cleaner then restart and install new ones... That normally 100% works for me just this new one does not?

As in it installs the drivers, but the ATI Control Centre wont show up? i thought at first it might be a pop up blocker stopping it or something but i uninstalled that..

Anyideas of what i can do because i tried loads... anyhelp would be appriciated! sorry to sound like a newbie again i guess ive gone dumber lol :|

Try shutting off your ewido security suite control when installing the drivers.

I fixed it lol i went back to old ATI Control Panel style... i dont like this new Catalyst control panel ive seen many people unhappy with it too even protesting against it lol.

I think if i upgrade im going to get Nvidia graphics card if ATI Still keep this new Catalyst contol panel that takes up more system resources then normal old Ati Contol Panel.

Bah to ati silly fools :(
