Have you tried updating you java to the latest version?
Looked for the uninstall link through the Start button>All Programs>E-Trade. There was not one there either.
She had the lateset Java update but E-Trade made a program change a while back that didn't co-exist with the latest Java update. They had her download an earlier version of Java to fix (work around) that problem....
Java is a non-compiled program language that is easily called from a web site or program, it can also be a stand alone program.
If your E-trade program is Java only that would explain why there is no uninstall because it was never installed.
I think what you're saying here is that E-trade is run through Java and therefore it is not actually installed on the computer. Java pulls all the info from E-trades website, and then compiles it for use? Or am I lost (as usual...
)
Thanks again
Good on ya
