First you will need to read from Microsoft, then uninstall sp4.

Next download the IT version of Win2k sp4 found

Make sure that you have both of these .dll files in you c:\winit\system32 folder
Winsrv.dll
Basesrv.dll

If not then go to http://www.dlldump.com/ and download the needed .dll file and put it in your c:\winit\system32 folder.

hey guy!..the entire message reads:the dymamic link library winserv could not be found in the specified path default load path....press f8 select safe mode..(won't go to safe mode...."delete bios memory in setup etc"..can't get there either looks like i'm just plain screwed!

You need to boot from the windows 2k cd and then use the Recovery Console as stated in the

borrowed it..don't have it any longer.....gave drive to my repairman..he'll take care of it.
