Function Key not working

My function key on my notebook stopped working a little while ago for some reason. However, it still performs certain things, like adjusting brightness. However, my main concern is using it for volume, and it doesnt work anymore. I got it going for a little while, but then i must have pressed something and it stopped working. Any ideas how I would get this thing going again?

i think i fixed it, just needed to reboot my pc
