hi all im new to this ,id like some help if poss so im quite sure one of you experts out therwill be able to help me..here goes--- every so often a error message box pops saying The system is shuting down and goes on to say it was called from the remote procedure... nt authority\system ..what is this all about and how can i remedy it regards steve :P

This would be a Remote Assistance function from someone else.

To prevent someone from using Remote Assistance to take control of your computer.
Open "System" from the Control Panel.
On the "Remote" tab, click Settings.
Clear the check box labeled "Allow this computer to be controlled remotely".
