2003 Server DC Problem

Hi

when i add a 2003 server DC to my 2000 server server PDC all is well till about half an hour when i reboot the 2003 DC and then it boots up with no lan connection and therefore no connectivity.

i restored from backups and demoted the pdc (deleted domain) and created a new domain called 'test' once i had run all the tests and adprep everything was as it should. i promote a 2003 server as dc and replication went fine rebooted several times over a 24 period and the network disappearing problem does not exist anymore. (previously when i did the exact same step in my previous domain any 2003 server added had bootup problems after the promotion ie no lan connection, com+ wont start etc).

so according to this there is a fault in my current directory causing a fault on new DC's, How can i track this down?
