cauninstall not marked for install

While I'm here studying today......months ago,i had vongo for movies,then they upgraded....i was told to get mediaplayer 11...so i went there and was redirected to a microsoft error page....anyway, i finally used their patch and got mediaplayer11......Then....i bought a new seagate drive and reformatted my stuff but vongo download get part way thru installation and then i get that error message.......My question is:Is ther a way to mark cauninstall.dll for install or is it just another lost dll?

Wish i could help but i've never seen a "dll not marked for install" error. Searching around the net shows a few complaints with uninstalling it but not so much with the install. Hopefully someone will run across a solution for you.

Could it have been cauninst.dll - cauninstall dynamic link library

If so then it has to do with Norton"s Firewall, that's about all I could find.

i think you hit the nail on the head!......whenever i buy something i completely remove Norton and AOL from my machines...to save on resources,mainly,but aol.....i don't need Big Brother on my stuff!Aol gives me very bad vibes....they're too big for their bloomers....and i don't trust them at all......in the beginning most of the trouble i had came directly from aol....their tech guy said"oh you have an aol virus ,you need to buy our spyware/firewall..etc....................but i think you are right about norton!.....not for nuthin'...when i grow up i wanna be just like you
