Internet Connection Sharing gone doolally

Postby Marf » Tue Jan 20, 2004 8:04 pm

We have a Dell PC downstairs receiving the DSL connection via an internal DSL modem, networked (cat5+hub) and sharing the DSL with my brothers laptop, and my PC upstairs.

Got home yesterday, started up my PC as normal... lo and behold no internet, same on my brothers laptop after just looking at the settings.

Yet the laptop still sees the DSL connection in its network places folder and shows it connected and running :X

Network is fine, Dell is connected to the internet fine.

Dell DSL pc is running XP
Laptop is running XP
My PC is running 2000pro sp4.

I cant figure it out, everything seems to be in order but its just not working, its worked without a glitch since I installed with absolutely no problems.

Someone help me before I go insane!!

Did you guys try rebooting your computers?
You titled this Thread "Internet Connection Sharing" is that what you're using or are you Networked?
