Virtual memory prob - paging file size 0 mb - can't change?

hi all , I am having a bit of trouble trying to set my paging file size on XP pro version 2002 - I am using 512 DDR ram - have tried setting custom size from 768mb - 2000mb - seems to set ok but when I reboot still says 0 mb in the total paging file size - I have just load XP onto this system - seemed to be going great then after a reboot got virtual memory error - had a few sound apps on - have taken most apps back off - just have basic apps still on - anyone got any clues why I can`t adjust the paging size would be greatly appreciated?? I will be adding another 512 Ram tomorrow but would like to sort this virtual thing out

I would add the 512 as you plan then set it back to system managed. If it doesnt straighten out just let us know and we'll go from there.

well blow me down - I have solved this delema - went back to a restore point 6 hrs back - the memory came back fine - checked after I added every app - found that a plugin for app was setting this problem off - not using this plugin now - all fixed and running fine - whewey !! thanks for your assistance.
