browser fonts...

i don't know what happened, but suddenly i see most of the text in both microsoft internet explorer (7.0.5730.11) and mozilla firefox(2.0.0.9) in (what seems to be) arial bold italic font (like the one i'm looking at now, inside this editable text box...i even saw it when i was accessing my yahoo mail (buttons that were, but not supposed to be, italicized)...i don't know (can't track) where the problem came from...i checked my fonts folder, all my fonts seemed ok...encoding on both pages seemed ok, too...could somebody help me with this???

(note: i'm sure the text on this forum isn't arial bold italic, but that's what i see on the index page...)

i looked up my fonts folder again and noticed that the verdana font (and some others) were missing!!! when i installed the missing fonts, it indeed fixed the browser fonts problem!!! never imagined that some of my fonts could've been deleted...
