Outlook, cannot delete email, MS Vista

Hi Gurus

Our new laptop is running with Vista Home Basic. We had an undelivered email returned with the message body not visible, and the following:

'Message could not be displayed - windows mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message - check your computer for low memory or disk space and try again'

Neither of these are an issue, and I am unable to delete the message.

I have run all the usual virus and other scans and have no problems.

I am not sure where it is, but there is a sync function that needs to be turned off and then you should be able to delete it.

Thanks Icecube - I have opened Sync Centre (which is where I would expect to find the 'off switch'), but there are no synced items there to turn off. There is also no sync reference in Windows Mail Options.

I did forget to mention that when I try to delete a box comes up to tell me that 'an unexpected error has occurred' - and I can get help from Communities.

Clicking this link takes me to the MS website where there is a very scary process to follow (and about 500+ other people with the same problem)

Thought I'd try you guys first.
