Strange Sluggishness

Postby wandman » Sat Dec 08, 2007 7:03 pm

I recently had to replace the power supply to my PC as I couldn't switch the thing on.

For some reason though now it doesn't seem to be running as well as it used to. Whenever it is doing something 'process heavy' the mouse slows down, any music playing in winamp skips and jumps and I cannot play video smoothly anymore.

I've done multiple scans for spyware, viruses etc, updated the BIOS and updated the driver for my graphics card. I don't klnow what else to do.

I am running Windows XP Home Edition on an Aries Pc System, AND Athlon 64 Processor 2.4GHz with 1GB of RAM.

Any help would be appreciated!
