Restart PC after download

Question about restarting pc. If you just downloaded an update and you try to restart, but pc is unable to start because of update. As soon as you turn on the power button you must punch a key F #? repeatidly to get a display on the display you can go back to previous restore point to restart pc. Does anyone know what F# key it is? It happened to me once before and don't remember the F key #

harleydav32,

You would use the F8 key to access the Windows Advanced Options Menu.
Then select Last Known Good Configuration
