Bootable Partition

Postby Torquay-Pete » Mon Dec 14, 2009 3:42 pm

Hi Guys
I am putting in a bigger hard drive and was wondering If I copy a Partition with my operating system and programs and other stuff on, and put this on the new drive....will this be bootable? I know I might have to re-write the boot manager, or am I wasting my time??????...........Cheers Pete

just copying it wont work, it needs to be "cloned"

theres several free programs out there that do it, u need one that can expand the partition to fit the new drive though.
