pinging outside domain

Postby Jocobo » Wed Apr 28, 2004 10:10 pm

So im setting up a 2003 server and one client for testing. Its bugging me though because I have the client pointing to the server, and its getting a dhcp address and can ping by FQDN, and the server has two nics, one with the inside address, and one on the network side (outside of its domain). I can ping outside the domain fine, but cant do it by FQDN or look up any webpages. My client cant even ping outside the friggin domain. Any ideas? thanks folks!

In your DHCP setup, do you have outside DNS server IPs? Sounds to me like you don't know how to resolve the internet, if I get you right.
