IE6 Problem - Letters too big

Postby DJ-PRIME90 » Mon May 10, 2004 4:49 am

Come someone please tell me how to fix this problem. I created this page in Dreamweaver MX, when I saved it and opened it in IE6 the text was like 10X bigger then it was supos to be. because I saved it as size '16'. The size of the text in the following image is like size 48, maybe abit more. Can you someone please tell me a way to fix this problem. Also it seems to only happen on .html pages, if its on a .php page the text is normal.

16 is big lettering...it's the size you have showing on your page, the normal size would be 1

According to the Dreamweaver Documentation the text sizes are
From 1 to 7,1 being the smallest text and 7 being the biggest.

Font size on web pages is also not as exact as in printed word processing documents. Instead of selecting point sizes for type, it is generally better to enter fonts by more generic sizes: 1 is the smallest type size and 7 is the biggest. You can also indicate that the text should be just one size bigger or smaller than the regular size. This is called relative size (+1 or +2, -1 or -2). While it is possible to select an exact point size, that's generally a bad idea.
Setting an exact size of text may make it much more difficult for them to see your weg page. In general, unless you have a specific reason to change the font size, leave it as None.

It is set as size "2" but, even if I leave it as "None" it will look exactly the same.

It still doesn't work  the letters still come out like 10X bigger then the way they are supose to come out.

Edit:
I didn't want to make all the text in Flash, but I guess I have no choice.
