The "Normal" way is to access your ISP by setting up IE or OE to dial your ISP's Number and access via your Username and Password. This doesn't take special software. You just configure your "Dialup Networking" settings to reflect your ISP's requirements.
I have NO clue how to do that! I went back and ctrl alt del, ended bartshel, went to file and renamed and guess what, I couldn't sign on! It said it was missing a file. If you'd explain how to do the above, I'd gladly try it. I am just SO sick of this I could scream.

Mail settings - ie: mail.ispname.net(com)
Dialup phone number ???

You need the mail settings: They are usually, but not always, mail.your isp.com or net for incoming/outgoing messages.
How is your OE / Tools / Accounts / Mail setup now?

Guess what? I went to network connections and did it myself. I'll see what happens.

OK last night I was on for about 30 minutes with NO problems. This morning early I couldn't stay on for even a minute for about 5 minutes. I gave up and just now I've been on for about a half hour with NO problems. Thanks Brad and everyone who put up with me. I know I'm not the smartest but I'm not the dumbEST either. :smash:

I've been on since about 3:50. The problem still exists. At one point it even said it couldn't recognize my username and password to connect. Now do you think PPC has something to prevent you from bypassing them? Or did I forget to do something?

How do you have you "Dial up" Properties set? Do you have the "Idle Time" disconnect option? Is it set for a low amount of time?

I really believe you have a bad ISP. Did you delete their software?
