I alway keep My screen resolution at: 800 X 600 Pixels.
Suddenly it has changed to: 1024 X 768.
I can't seem to get it back to the origianal setting even when changing it in the properties tab.
Thanks,
Jack

ooo, pretty colours 8D

If the display properties aren't letting you change the res, it might be a case of your graphics drivers messing up.

See if you can download and install the latest official drivers for your graphics card and see if that helps.

In my opinion, you should use the native resolution of your monitor. So, if it's a 1024x768 monitor, stick with it.

Thanks Jim,
The question is How does anyone use anything less??????
Also, add in to the equation: 19 Years starring at these screens and 55 Year old eyes.
But why do You think it just flipped ou like that?
I have tried several times going into the Graphics properties options but that didn't work either.
Strange thing though, that has just dawned on me is that its just on the internet pages!

Spooks? Spectres? Familiar Spirits????

im wondering if windows update didnt change your video card or monitor driver maybe. Thats the only thing i can think of other than just corrupted drivers as Psymon is suggesting.

Many Many thanks to all who lent their help on this!!!
Never thought to do a System Restore; which did the trick!!!
I suspect it may have had something to do with IE8
Guess they're going to keep tinkering with this untill everybody goes to a Mac.
Going to try to roll back to IE6.

Best regards,
Jack

Going back to IE6 is one of the worst things you could do.
It's hopelessly insecure.

Firefox + adblock plus, all the way :D

My Friend Psymon,
Pardon me, but all Geeks and Wireheads say that.
Meanwhile, that browser has given me the least amount of trouble of any of them.
I am extremely appriciative of all the good cats who have helped me on these forums.
But most "Geeks" tell Me My pages are a Horror show, tough on there eyes, Outdated scripts Etc.
Meanwhile, they have been providing Me with a comfortable living for many years.
Why fix it, If it's not broke????
But I will take Your suggestion under advisement and put it on the list after
I get done learning how to:
play chess, Juggle Indian clubs and rope steers!
Thanks again for Your help!!!!!

Jack
